Vision, Mission, Promise

Who We Are

First Responder Trauma Counselors provides specialized counseling for emergency services personnel and their family members, related to their work and home life and the variety of stressors in which affect them. Including but not limited to PTSI, anxiety, addiction, depression and grief.
FRTC also provides peer support team member training as well as training to clinical advisors and supervisors of peer support teams.
FRTC also consults and facilitates confidential Critical Incident Processing as necessary and requested by other departments.

Our Mission

FRTC is involved in changing the lives of professional and volunteer First Responders involved in Fire, Law Enforcement and EMS, by building empathetic and honest Peer Support relationships within the First Response agencies we serve. 

FRTC also believes in, “Contribution to Community Outreach”, by creating our “Regional Peer Support Team”, model by which specifically taught, active as well as retired, First Responders, are trained and available to respond to First Responders and agencies in crisis. 

Our goal is to have a united Northern Colorado, All Agency, All Badge, All Uniform, All Scrubs Peer Support Team.

Thus creating a large network of competent Peer Support (40 hour) trained agency team members who are actively engaged in Emergency Services in Colorado Homeland Security Region 9.
